What is Hot Yoga?

Hot Yoga, also known as Bikram Yoga, is an intense form of yoga practiced in a room that is heated to +/- 40 °C with a humidity of +50%.

Want to join a class? A Hot Yoga class lasts 90-minutes and consists of 26 postures and 2 breathing exercises.

The postures are designed to address all body parts and muscle groups. The same sequence of postures is used every class. That way you can actually improve them and monitor your progress as your body becomes stronger and your flexibility increases. The heat helps your tendons and muscles to relax and loosen, allowing you to stretch deeper and decreasing the risk of injury.

Hot Yoga is the ideal mix between strength, flexibility, cardio and balance.

DO I NEED TO MAKE A RESERVATION?

If it is your first time at our studio, you need a reservation. Every regular 90 min Hot Yoga class on our schedule is a good introduction. Every class has a limited amount of spots for starters. For your first session, we ask you to be in the studio at least 20min before the class starts, to give you a warm welcome while you register.

EATING AND DRINKING

Make sure to drink plenty of water before class. It is best not to eat too much 2-3 hours before yoga.

If you have no other choice but to eat before class, try to keep it light.

PRICES

If you're new here, we recommend the starter card for €25. Take a look at our rates for all available plans and find one that fits your needs. Of course, if you have any questions, ask us before class while purchasing your card.

WHAT TO BRING?

- WATER! You will sweat a lot, so you need to drink a lot as well, especially after the class.
Of course, cold refreshing drinks are also available for purchase at the front desk.

- We provide mats and towels for beginners (starter card). But just in case, bring an extra towel. You might sweat more than you expect.

- You can take a quick shower after class, so bring an extra towel. The showers get cleaned every day. However, please help us to keep things hygienic by not shaving or using any type of hair removal products, clay or body-oils.

- Don't waste your precious perfumes or deodorants before class. Instead, take a quick shower at the studio before entering the hot room.

- There are lockers in the dressing rooms to keep your belongings safe.

WHAT TO WEAR?

Light, comfortable, formfitting clothing is ideal. Avoid loose clothing or cotton as that will weigh you down.

It's also best not to wear long-sleeved t-shirts or long trousers in the hot room. According to our studio's very scientific weather forecast, it will be a steaming 40°C inside.

IS HOT YOGA SOMETHING FOR ME?

“I AM NOT FLEXIBLE AT ALL”

We hear that a lot! We want to help you improve your flexibility, so we don’t expect you to be flexible in the beginning. All of the postures are suitable for beginners and you will find yogis of all ages, sizes and levels of practice in our classes.

“I HAVE HAD AN INJURY/OPERATION”

One of the most important benefits of Hot Yoga is that it supports and speeds up successful recovery from injuries. Of course we will not be able to turn back time if you have had a back operation in the past but we will help you to strengthen your back, protect it against deterioration and relieve you from back pain.

“I CAN’T STAND HEAT”

We won’t lie to you: the heat can be intense but after just a few classes it becomes a warm and welcoming sensation. Your body gets used to it. You will soon embrace the heat and accept it for what it is: a warm blanket that helps you improve your body and health
